CompuTrak

Standard Aircraft Maintenance Procedure

Aircraft maintenance facilities must optimize their processes to fully leverage the power of CompuTrak, minimizing inefficiencies and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Below is a step-by-step guide detailing the complete workflow for handling aircraft maintenance, from arrival to invoicing.

1. Aircraft Upon Arrival

  1. Hidden Damage Inspection: Technicians conduct a comprehensive inspection to identify hidden damage.
  2. Hobbs Meter Reading: Record the Hobbs time, updating hours and cycles in CompuTrak.
  3. Data Synchronization: The software calculates cumulative hours and cycles, ensuring accurate tracking.

2. Open a New Work Order

CompuTrak generates a list of tasks based on Hobbs time, date, and cycles. All required inspections, customer requests, and discrepancies are logged.

3. Work Order Execution

Technicians log their time, parts and labor descriptions under each discrepancy. Supervisors can monitor progress to ensure timely completion.

4. Create a Purchase Order

If parts are required but not in inventory, a purchase order is created. Each part is linked to the work order for traceability, helping minimize inventory costs.

5. Work Order Completion

After completing all tasks and verifying the aircraft through a test flight, the work order status is updated to “Pending.”

6. Weight and Balance Management

CompuTrak simplifies weight and balance adjustments for new installations and generates mission-specific reports.

7. Logbook Entry

The lead technician creates a logbook entry summarizing completed work, stored digitally in CompuTrak for easy retrieval.

8. Update Components and Maintenance Records

All component hours and maintenance schedules are updated, helping the facility plan for future requirements.

9. Invoice Generation

CompuTrak generates detailed invoices, listing all labor, parts, and services performed, ensuring clear and accurate billing.
